= Xcaliber =

Change your screen's brightness and gamma, with separate red-green-blue settings. Includes a graphical interface named xcaliber-gui.

== Installation ==

To install this software, download and install the .deb package ([[InstallingSoftware#deb|guide here]]) available on [[https://launchpad.net/xcaliber/|the project's Launchpad page]].

== Use ==
Start the application from ''System > Preferences > Screen calibration Xcaliber'', or using the following commands:
 * '''xcaliber''' (for the command line application)
 * '''xcaliber-gui''' (for the graphical interface)
Once you are done twiddling the sliders in the interface, if you want to keep your settings at computer's sartup, follow these instructions:
 1. Select the command on the bottom right (the entire command, scroll if necessary),
 1. Copy it with [Ctrl + C],
 1. Go to ''System > Preferences > Startup applications > Add'',
 1. Type « Xcaliber » into the Name field, and paste the command in the appropriate field,
 1. Validate
 1. Voilà!

Follow these steps:
 1. System > Preferences > Keyboard shortcuts > Add,
 1. Give it a name and in the Command field: '''xcaliber -s 10''' (to increase brightness),

 1. Create a second shortcut and set as command: '''xcaliber -s -10''' (to reduce brightness).
