Introduction

This page provides information on how to install google doc extension in OpenOffice. Google doc allows us to upload open office document to google doc.

Required Component

  1. Open Office 3.0
  2. Java 5

Installation Procedure

  1. Download Google Doc extension from OpenOffice.org2GoogleDocs - export & import to Google Docs, Zoho, WebDAV

  2. Execute the extension file to install it.
  3. Verify that the extension is installed. Open the Open Office extension manager from Menu > Tools > Package Manager. The google doc extension will be listed as 'godcs_(Version No).oxt'. Version No is the extension version no e.g.: godcs_1.8.2.oxt.

Known Issue

Google doc tool bar may not become immediately visible after installation. Open the extension manager. 'Disable' the Google doc extension and enable it. Restart Open Office. The tool bar should now be visible.
