Ubuntu & VMware/VI/ESX

Ubuntu will never be a host OS for VMware ESX since VMware ESX is its own OS. However many people and sysadmins will want to run Ed/X/Ubuntu VMs as a VMware ESX guests !

Tips for running Ed/X/Ubuntu as an VMware ESX guest

Use Ed/X/Ubuntu 6.06.01 instead of 7 !

Use SCSI virtual disks

Install VMware Tools https://help.ubuntu.com/community/VMware/Tools for increased performance
