The Asus Zenbook models UX302LA/UX302LG works with Ubuntu but need some work to be done. This page should help to gather known issues and help to coordinate this work.

You can check what is your model with the command:

sudo dmidecode -s system-product-name

LCD is a wide gamut panel.

Touchscreen is working, but seems not supporting multitouch on Ubuntu.

Known bugs:

  • Bug 1265544 Fixed upstream, but currently affect Ubuntu 14.04 and previous version.


Currently need fixing. Work in progress. Known workaround: use "acpi_osi=" without options as boot option.


If you have no wireless after update to new kernel, try to update firmware as suggested here


Model "1bcf:2987 Sunplus Innovation Technology Inc." found on UX302LA work incorrectly and need fixing of uvcvideo driver. Newest kernel should be OK. patch.


This card reader is based on Alcor Micro AU6601 chip (pciid 1aea:6601). Driver is available but currently not included to upstream or ubuntu kernel. Kernel patch, PPA.

Ambient light sensor is not working out of the box. There is a driver not included in kernel source. Need testing. Bug is reported
