Introduction

To get the Hercules DJ Consoles working on Ubuntu with programs such as Mixxx you need to install the third party drivers.

The driver should work for the following controllers:

  • Hercules DJ Console RMX
  • Hercules DJ Control Steel
  • Hercules DJ Console Mk2
  • Hercules DJ Control MP3

Installation

Ubuntu 10.10, 11.04, 11.10, 12.04

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:rojtberg/hdjmod
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install hdjmod-dkms
sudo modprobe hdj_mod
