= Issues = == 9.04 Alpha 3 (Jaunty Jackalope) == * Network manager may report wireless is disabled because of https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/319825 - blacklist module acer_wmi to work around this. * ath5k works but has the same issues seen in Intrepid 8.10. See https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/269253. As before, a cold reboot seems to be the best way for it to work. * For SSD users: In a variety of postmark benchmarks, using elevator=noop was consistently 25% slower for both reading and writing. * Enabling extents with ext4 means you can not go back to ext3. * If booting from ext4 partition you must use grub2 (it doesn't work in chainload, but works when updated from legacy). * Ext4 without journal not supported in 2.6.28, so has_journal needs to be added to tune2fs if you are migrating from ext2. The support is applied in the latest 2.6.29 release candidate. |

Revert to an earlier kernel to fix the wired interface for now. * Card Readers, Bios 3305 [2.6.27.7: Both card readers work again after setpci described above; no SDHC support, but at least the insertion of cards is automatically detected]. * Card Readers, Bios 3305 [Pre 2.6.27.7: Only right card reader works after setpci described above; no SDHC support]. * Card Readers, Bios 3109 [Work out of the box, but write errors after suspend and on SDHC cards]. |
