OpenStack is an Open Source project to produce an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) platform which was started in 2010 and now regroups more than 120 industry actors.

Since Ubuntu 11.10 OpenStack is now Ubuntu's recommend IaaS platform and is the basis of Ubuntu Cloud Infrastructure.
