Ralink RT2860 wireless chip set is found in the EEE pc 901 and 1000/Linux and network cards and others. It should support wireless b/g/n functions. It is identified with lspci command as

Issues

• 344022 indicates trouble connecting to (some) wireless-n networks out of the box

• 480477 with connection instability

• 320390 doesn't connect to 802.1x network

Drivers

Some threads have reported success using newer or older drivers from the ralink website (as of writing at 2.4.0.0 compared to the 1.8.0.0 version in the Ubuntu/Debian repository). A method of installing a new driver is here or here.
