Install the base system

After downloading and burning the appropriate CD for your system, boot the CD up and start the installation.

• Insert your Ubuntu Alternate Install Disk

• Install a Command Line System

• Choose your Language
• Choose your Country
• Choose a name for your machine
• Select your Keyboard Layout

• Partition the drive- this is at your discretion. The Frontend will not require much space for itself, so a default partion and formatting scheme is fine.

• Choose your Time Zone
• Choose a Username and password.
• Install the base System.
