Basic Installation Instructions
Common things about installing and maintaining Ubuntu on Intel-based Macs: Intel CPU-based Macintosh Generic Installation Instructions
Suspend & Hibernate
Dramatic graphical corruption is exhibited when resuming from a suspend action. Avoid!
HFS+
Mounting the host OS's HFS+ partition (in this case from MacOS 10.11 El Capitan) works out of the box, however in read-only mode. There is experimental support for read/write access, but you are at risk of losing your data and/or breaking your MacOS installation.
Keyboard functions (Brightness,volume,...)
This could not be confirmed with any official Apple peripherals, however the function keys upon a Logitech wireless keyboard worked perfectly out of the box.
Wireless (AirPort)
If the alternative driver is installed from within the Software & Sources application, both 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless networks function correctly.
iSight
External Monitor
A mini-displayport adapter cable was not in possession in order for this function to be tested.
